Join the Campaign to Restore Lilac Way. And become a part of history.

Through community sponsorship of 10,000 lilacs, we will reduce the strain on both city and Mn/DOT budgets. And benefit the environment for all of us. We plan to start asking people to sponsor lilacs in the summer of 2009.

Here’s how you’ll be able to help:

You can sponsor a lilac, becoming a Lilac Sponsor.

Your garden club, neighborhood organization, church or non-profit group—anyone who wants to help—can ask people to sponsor a lilac. You’ll receive a ‘Campaign Kit’ that includes everything needed to start campaigning for lilacs. You are then a member of The Lilac League. (Our goal is to have a percentage of each lilac sale go back to the organization that sold it—giving that group its own fund-raising opportunity.)

Your company can donate funding to produce the Campaign Kits and maintain the lilacs, becoming a Campaign Corporate Sponsor.

Work or live in Robbinsdale, Crystal, Golden Valley, St. Louis Park or Edina? After the Campaign is formally presented to them, you can contact your city to let them know you want them to join the Lilac Way Campaign. These partnerships will be crucial to the Campaign. Mn/DOT and these 5 municipalities will be Campaign Partners.
