A grand opening for a restored Lilac Way park.
The City of St. Louis Park threw a fun party for their renovated 1939 Lilac Park on Monday, July 13, 2009. A great turnout, hot dogs and a ribbon cutting made for a perfect event. Mayor Jeff Jacobs thanked the partners, especially the SLP Wayside Park/Beehive Restoration Project Committee and the SLP Historical Society, who worked long and hard to make this project happen.
They should be very proud of their hard work, as we all are. I am very grateful to the City for lending me a tent, table and poster A-frames to promote the Campaign at this incredible event.
Do you know some of the people in these photos that I need to identify? Let me know so I can include their names.
